Oat is often used in combination with other nervine supporting herbs, whether relaxing or stimulating, to strengthen the entire nervous system. Oats are part of the grass family. Oatstraw is a highly nutritive herb and contains iron, calcium, magnesium, vitamins and other minerals.

We harvest the oatstraw when the oat top is still maturing in the milky stage. We also grow oats as a cover crop to increase organic matter in the soil.

We find oatstraw tea incredibly nourishing and restorative, and we add the herb as a base in many blends.
