NOW IN POWDER FORM!
Botanical Name: Mentha x piperita
Studies have shown the herb’s great potential in balancing bacteria growth, supporting respiratory health, and cooling the body when applied topically. Peppermint cultivation and oil production began in the United States in the late 18th century, and today the U.S. is the world’s top producer.
Peppermint is a perennial and spreads via underground rhizomes. The herb is very versatile, tolerating wet soil but thriving in hot and dry climates. We grew this herb for the first time in 2020! The taste is more buttery than other peppermint you might be familiar with. Hotter and drier climates tend to bring out spicier characteristics.
We love enjoying this herb by itself in tea or facial steams, but it goes great in blends too.
